Abraham's Siblings

Lincoln was born February 12, 1809.  His mother, Nancy Hanks Lincoln, gave birth to him in a log cabin in Hardin (now Larue) County, Kentucky.  His father was Thomas Lincoln, who was a skilled carpenter.  Lincoln had an older sister, Sarah, and a younger brother, Thomas, who died at birth.  Lincoln's Mother died in 1818 and the next year his father married Sarah Bush Johnston, who proved to be a good and kind mother.  In 1828 Lincoln's Sister, Sarah, died during childbirth.
